I Little Less Partying

Published by stlblogger74 at 12:20 am under Uncategorized Edit This

My little cousin had a baby shower today and I swear I should open a party business or something like it.  My aunt had me running up and down her stairs over and over and over again.  I think I cooked half of the food and at one point I was suppose to be upstairs letting someone out, downstairs taking pictures, and passing out cake to all the kids that happen to be there.  It is crazy but every time that my aunt has a party it seems like I am the one that does a lot of the work.  Not that she didn’t do anything but just the stairs seemed to be my thing.  You know it’s funny but when I use to live further away and would hear about all these parties and things that my family was having I would feel so left out.  Now I think I would give a little something; something to be a little more left out.

And the other thing that I don’t understand it the CP time.  Really when did it become a new time zone.  I will never get why if a party starts at 3 then it is considered normal for everyone to show up at 4.  This was a party that was suppose to be from 3 to 6 and when I got that at 2:45 my aunt was still cutting up ham for part of the food.  I don’t even think that she started getting dressed until almost 3:30.  She if people wanted to really separate black folks what the need to do is actually make it a time zone.  You would have eastern, pacific, mountain, central, and CP.  Of course you know that would only work for a while and then even the people living in the CP zone would start to be late again and then they would have to come up with another time zone for that.  How ridiculous would that be.

Anyway, back to the actual shower.  My cousin got so many many gifts that I almost wanted to ask for her guest addresses so that if I ever have a baby that I can invite them.  I didn’t even know half the people but the gifts were insane.  I almost what the same names for just my birthday.  I would half to buy anything.  However I think that was the big point of the shower.  Now my cousin is a younger mom (she is 21) but I don’t know why most of her friends didn’t want to participate in the shower games.  Maybe it was because the women that kept winning where older and my aunt had a couple of games a little backwards.  It was funny to watch.
